What is the difference between prefinished and primed doors?
A prefinished door arrives with its final finish applied at the factory. A primed door has only a base coat and still needs painting after it is hung.
Do prefinished doors ever need painting?
No. The finish is applied before the door ships, so there is no painting after installation.
Do the frames and casings come prefinished too?
Yes. Frames, casings and mouldings are supplied in the same finish as the door, so the trim does not need painting either.
Will the installed door match the sample I chose?
Yes. Because the finish is applied at the factory, the color you see on the showroom sample is the color that gets installed.
Can I mix finishes in one house?
Yes. You can choose a different finish for each room, or keep one finish family across every door, frame and handle.
